Let me introduce myself. My name is Brenda Parker and I operate Scotia Accounting located in Stellarton, NS.  After graduating summa cum laude from St. Mary's University in Halifax, NS with a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, I worked for several years at Sobey's Inc. in various departments with my last role being assistant manager of Taxation.  During this time I studied for and attained my Certified General Accountant's designation.  Since getting my CGA, I have worked in various management/accounting positions at NSCC , for two public accounting firms, and as controller of a regional hotel chain and a local new car dealership. 

Since opening my own accounting practice in 2007 I have served both large and small clients in a wide variety of sectors.  From businesses in manufacturing, wholesale, retail, consumer and business to business services to charities and not-for-profit organizations.  We have served clients from Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia to Montreal, Quebec to Calgary, Alberta and in many locations in mainland NS.

Working with me at Scotia Accounting is my husband Jim Parker.  With extensive training in small business accounting and many years of hands on experience operating his own businesses, Jim has the knowledge and experience to assist with all your small business bookkeeping and staff training needs.  Jim has hands on experience with both Simply Accounting and Quickbooks and does weekly accounting for a number of local organizations out of our Stellarton office.  Together we can provide you with a solution that will work for your business.
